For my co's year end accounts, I hand deliver everything and get a receipt.Originally posted by eliquant View PostWhen you e-mail your Company Bank Account statements to your accountant do you block out the account number and sort code or do you leave them fully showing ???? - this is for corporation tax btw.

What about emailing invoices? Do you blank out the info then so the client can't pay you by bank transfer?

I assume the question is more about leaving the data on an email that might be intercepted, rather than what the accountant might do with the information.Originally posted by doodab View PostDo you blank them out on the cheques you pay him with?
I take my statements to the accountant at the end of the year with the receipts and other paperwork. If I emailed them, I wouldn't hide the information though.

What do you think they will do with the account number and sort code? They aren't exactly a secret - loads of companies give them out. Don't worry about it.

Presumably my accountant receives a copy of company bank statement (monthly?) - I remember I had to sign on some declaration form. Good question though, got me thinking!
