If you've got an accountant I'd ask them for recommendations. We get loads of IFAs pestering us, as they think all our clients must have £millions in the bank. I'm sure I know which ones I'd recommend and which ones I'd advise you to steer well clear of. Your accountant will probably be in a similar position.Originally posted by Olly View Postlike it says on the tin really...anyone got adivce on how to go about finding a good financial advisor please?
I was saving up for a house, still am I guess, but it looks a long way off as I'm probably going to rent in Germany for a while.
What do I do with the mix of ISAs, Premium bonds, retained profits, couple of shares etc. We're not talking mega bucks - perhaps £200K in total but I think it could do with a shake up nevertheless.
Thanks
£200k will be easily enough to get most independent IFAs pretty excited, but I'd steer clear of the big boys, as a depressingly large amount will disappear into their fees.
