Tax point for PAYE is the payment date on your payslip. If >= 6 Apr then next tax year.

salary on Apr 12 - which tax year?

I am starting a 3months contract via an umbrella company in Jan .. Based on the payment schedule, the agency will be paying the umbrella on 10 of the month for all work done in the previous month and therefore I will be paid on the 12th.

Which tax year will my payment of Apr 12th be , this one or next one?

    Thanks for the input
