I'm no expert, but don't they claim back their VAT in the same way that UK companies do? When I've been to Sweden on business and been charged VAT, I claim that back over here.

Is this going through a uk agency if it is then register your company in the uk
as for depends on your turnover or just register for the flat vat rate also read any contracting aboard posts which will give you a general idea

Contracting for Swedish Company
I am just about to leap into the contracting world, and wondered if anyone could help. I am going to be contracting for a Swedish company, and am not sure if I should register my company abroad or UK - about half my time will be spent in Europe (mostly EU countries). Also will I need to register for VAT and charge the Swedes for VAT? Not sure how they will react to paying UK tax??
