Just to clarify, you need to contact each of the HMRC's departments - they don't talk to eachother, so if appropriate you need to tell the VAT office, PAYE office and Corporation tax office. If your reg office is also your home, you also need to tell your Personal SA office. Of course, if it is only the reg office address that needs changing and not the trading address, you may not need to tell the VAT and PAYE offices as they're probably sending correspondence to the trading address rather than the reg office address. It is usually only the Corp Tax office that sends stuff to a co's reg office.

Bear in mind that the VAT office might get it wrong when other HMRC departments get it right (they did in my case)!
When the VAT office get notified of your change of registered office, they should issue you with a new VAT certificate, if this hasn't happened after a few weeks chase them up as something may have gone wrong....

I have always had to do all of the following:
MyCo address
My address as Co Sec
My wife's address as Director
The VAT people
The tax office for me
The tax office for MyCo
I see no evidence of joined up government.

Change of Company Address
Hi, can anyone advise whether changing my company address at companies house will automatically lead to HMRC's address details for me being updated? Or do I need to contact my tax office myself to confirm?
