It is possible to reopen the company, it takes time and it is as ASB says " a world of pain"

You may need to take swift action with your client, for instance I assume your client now has a contract with a disolved company, which will be a breach of contract and force termination, so measures to continue in business in a different structure will need to be taken quickly.

Would suggest that you file any missing accounts at Co House today, have your company reactivated (dont know the technical term) and contact the Crown to ask them for your money back, do a deal with HMRC so that you are all square.

Tip for next time: dont keep all of your money in one place, or preferably one tax jurisdiction!

jsut found out this morning that my company has been disolved - AND IR have cleared out the £80K in my account.
Shock is not thw world for it , but im doing my best to stay calm- from google i dont think I am the first person this has happened to -
Am i ok to think ill get that money back if i go through the process
dos anyoen have recom. of a good company/lawyer in this area

You are in for a world of pain.

The IR have not taken the money. If the company is dissolved it's remaining assets revert to the crown (though it is possible to reopen the company and then get it back).

Assuming you were not attempting a DIY wind up (in which case you have done things in the wrong order) then it has been struck off by companies house. Possibly as a result of not doing statutory filings or similar.

Suggest you speak to your accountant and NOW.

Were you trying to dissolve/wind up the company yourself.

Have you missed any payments / filings.

Have you been subject to an IR35 review.

Have you got an accountant.

What are you not telling us.
