Dont forget that if your divis + tax credit + salary etc if over the basic rate band then there is extra personal tax to pay of 25% of the net dividend in the higher rate band.

No
Dividends are paid out of the income of the company (after corporation tax). They have a 10% tax credit, so if you are a basic rate tax payer you have no more tax to pay. P11d's are to declare Benefits In Kind (BIK) etc paid..... There is no BIK on a dividend. If you had shares in BP, and they paid you dividends, you would not expect them to put it on a P11d .
The dividend is your "investment" income which goes on your tax return.

Do you put dividend payments on P11D ??
This is my 1st year I've actually set up my Limited company and actually paid myself dividends, it is P11D creation time for tax year 2008/09, but I was just
wondering do you declare dividend payments to yourself on the P11d ? (like you do with company loans to yourself ?).
Thanks in advance
PS: I've previously used umbrellas and the limited company I had 10 years ago, I never paid myself dividends only a big bonus at the end.Tags: None
