I'm with NatWest and they are pretty good, and free. Online access is a must of course

Natwest are doing 2 years free if you have started up in the last 12 months. Otherwise Abbey is free for life but no whistles and bells such as free software personal business manager etc as far as I can see.

I found that I had to wait 3 days before the money went from my HSBC Business Account to my Alliance & Leicester Account, despite both accounts being part of the FPS scheme.Originally posted by Bill View PostYou will find most bank to bank transactions are now within a few hours rather than the 3 days of previous. I use HSBC, only because of having a private account and liking their online banking.

But as someone has already suggested, look at HSBC. It may be worth moving your personal account to them as well. That way, you get paid on the same day as it leaves your business account.
If you want details of an account manager, let me know via PM and I will refer you to someone.

I think a lot of people recommend Abbey, but I'm not with them. I use LloydsTSB and they have been good so far. Admittedly, I can only talk about my experience but I've been with em nigh on 40 years and they haven't tried to screw me yet.
