With regard to SA the accountant told me this:

You will need to complete a return:

    - If you were a director of your company between the period 6th April 2007 and 5th April 2008 (which I was for four days from 1st April but comapny started to trade in May 2008)

    - Your Unique Taxpayers Reference (UTR) number. This is a 10 digit numeric reference which can be found on any Self Assessment documentation you have received from HMRC (I did receive new tax code for the company, employer CD but nothing related to Self Assessment or Personal Tax)

    Radgid.
Can you enter the directorship and leave the income as £0? you're covered on all ground then!

I got my UTR by phoning my tax office. they wont give it you over the phone, but will send you a letter that has it on.

I have received P45 and P60 from Umbrella but no Self Assessment or Personal Tax forms or related notices/reminders from HMRC. Do I need to do Self Assessment and Personal Tax return for 2007/2008 even if the company was formed in April but started to trade in May?

What should I do with P45 - P60 from Umbrella from previous contract?

    Thank you very much.

Don't want to sound rude... but what have you been doing for the past 7 or 8 months? How have you paid yourself? You really need to speak to your Accountant (if you have one) fairly quickly. You, as a business, should register your company with HMRC for PAYE and let them know that your business is employing you so that you can claim a salary. I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't the only thing you haven't done.

I think that the first thing most people would ask would be "have you tried asking your accountant?".
