No doubt your circumstances are a bit different to everbody elses, but there is quite a lot covered regularly.

I imagine a search with the words irish company might yield some initial help. Where you end up legally tax resident which could well be both UK and Ireland will rather govern the options you have.

Interested to hear what others have to say about this.

I am thinking about moving to Ireland (hold UK and Irish Passports) and my initial research has shown me that Irish Corporation tax is only 12.5%

Haven't really looked into it any further though.

    Brit coming home temporarily ...

Hi all, I'm English but have lived & worked in Ireland for the past 7 years, firstly through an "offshore" company in Jersey, who paid my Irish Tax & PRSI (NI equivalent) & for the past year and a quarter through an Irish Limited company of my own.

I've got a chance of a contract in the UK which will be for 3 months, possibly 6. I don't intend staying in the UK any longer than that and I will be coming "home" to Ireland every weekend, so 4 nights a week in the UK for 3 or 6 months, the rest of the time in Ireland.

Does anybody have any thoughts or advice as to how would I be best off approaching this ? Should I use my current Irish company, should I temporarily use an umbrella company (British or Irish ?!?) or could I legally go through the "offshore" route again ?!?

    Any help much appreciated ...

Working...
