Pretty sure they both are still running but the guy who used to use them has left so hard to tell. 1st contact or whatever they are that a Kiwi I know uses are still operational and we're still unsure of how she or they get away with it, think they setup a proper company or something for you but then they do all the payments and invoicing for to you...curious will investigate.

Hmm, the latest "news" is from 6th December 2006. Are you sure they're still active?
MDS UK PRESS RELEASE - 6th December 2006
RE: TODAYS PRE-BUDGET ANNOUNCEMENT
‘Today the Government issued its Pre-Budget statement. There have been a raft of proposals dealing with Managed Service Companies which will affect both ‘Composite’ and ‘Umbrella’ services.
MDS UK have long anticipated these proposals and have, for some time, been preparing alternative products for both existing and future clients.
These proposals are highly detailed and the industry as a whole will no doubt be making representations to the Government in response to them. MDS UK, however, has a portfolio of products which will continue to accommodate the requirements of all clients, whilst remaining compliant with any changes in legislation that may arise.
As the consultation process goes forward, we will be contacting you to advise you of the best solution available to you.
In the meantime, you'll be continued to be payed in the normal way.
Peace of mind for our contractors is assured.’

1st Contact I think they are called operate the same way too, a colleague here merely sends her timesheets in and they do the rest and she still gets dividends, so much for the IR clamping down eh??

Anyone want to have a read of MDS Uk Consultants website and tell me how on earth they don't get done for being an MSC, they even do your invoicing and pay you just like an MSC used to do, I can see no difference between them and the old Giant Powerhouse and MSC companies that all got wiped out.
