I've done a quick search and can't find a clear answer in other threads, so the question for the panel is...
Does anyone have their dividend income taken into account by CSA for child support calculations?
I know the CSA are able to take dividend income into account but I understood that this wasn't the norm and that they had to be prompted to do so by the other party, and hence I wondering how often it happens in practice?
If anyone is getting divi income taken into account by the CSA, how do the Gestapo CSA go about finding out about and assessing the divi income?
Is dividend income split with another shareholder taken into account?
If it isn't then does a re-allocation of shares to a partner present a good option for avoiding the CSA-tax (an extra 20% in my case)?
By my rough calculation, holding only a 20-30% share in MyCo seems to present the financial best model, with my partner holding 70-80%. Can anyone see a problem with such an arrangement?
Before anyone accuses me of being an immoral, irresponsible father - the ex got everything in the divorce settlement, ~£300K, and I am just tired of her profitting from my success and of my child support payments financing her wardrobe, A4, drinking, etc. once the kids needs have been paid for.
