Personally own the Ltd shares otherwise you pay corp tax twice.

Starting another Ltd for a software project

I’m going into a joint venture with an old school friend where we’ll go 50/50 on everything. It will be a web/software project in which we’ll share costs and revenues

She wants to form a new Ltd for it so I’m wondering will I be better off just personally owning ½ of this new ltd or would it be advantageous to make my current Ltd the (50%) owner – or would it be time to start thinking about offshoring?
