    There is no risk being caught by IR35 by closing down your company. If you don't intend to contract again, then closing the co is best option, in which case a final set of accounts will be required to be filed with HMRC, the relevant form lodging with CH after 3 months of no trade, and so long as there are no issues from interested parties, i.e HMRC, your company will be 'struck off'.

    Dear all,
    Can someone please guide me in closing ltd company?

    I opened ltd company in Mar 2007 when I got contracting role, after 5 months I moved into permanent role. Meanwhile I register my company with HMRC and now I would like to close it. Am I in fear to get caught in IR35 , do I need to take some precaution before I close my company except finalise account and pay tax to Inland Revenue.
