In my experience these things are often just copied off other software products. If you're going to do that, remember to change the names.

legal cover for downloadable software product

I'm getting ready to release a software product that will be a downloadable .exe and will sell online as an e-product.

Is there a standard set of legal clauses that I can take to some IP/commercial lawyers to get quotes for?

I'm guessing I need the standard disclaimers for 'software is provided as is and we (my Ltd) cannot be held responsible for loss of data, damage to files etc.

Also a disclaimer of some sort - it's a job searching tool so I don't want people trying to sue me if they don't get a job from using it etc.

is there anything else I need to post up in my project spec for the lawyers to bid on?

I'm using elance to source some international/internet lawyers.

Anyone done anything like this before and can shed any light on it?
