I had a choice of agencies for a role I've just applied for, with named contacts for each one.

Strangely, all the blokes got binned.

    What are the chances, eh?

Have to agree with you there.. the agent who got me my current gig sounded spot on... and it was always a pleasure speaking to her. When I met up for a coffee and chat I nearly burnt my tongue drinking it that quick.. it would take more than a couple of bags for that one..

Look at it this way. If you employed 50 people and 10 of them came to you asking for £300 each to pay for the iPod they've just bought, and oh yeah, they'll listen to your company MP3 newsletter once a month to justify it would you hand over the cash?

Then 15 of your employees come to ask for the money for the new plasma TV they've got in the lounge because they sometimes hook their laptop up to it "so it must be for work use innit". Would you hand over the cash?
But by the same token, if I can reduce the aount I hand over to Hector by a little, then I shall. If it is legal.

An enough of those carppy excuse comments!!!

So, what is the concensus? Can I buy myself a new iPOD touch as a company expense and use it to download training materials and HMRC podcasts? (Since it has WiFi...)
