Using a trading name

I would like to start using a trading name on my invoices, cv, web site, email etc. which I feel is a little more relevant to what I do from a marketing view - eg Code Monkey Productions rather than AnonymousCo 123 Ltd.

How can I phrase this on my invoice and do I need to do anything with Companies House ?
