It seems that some new contractors on the board have received less from their umbrella company than they were initially quoted. For reference - if you ask for an estimate from an umbrella company you should always give them a figure for your expected expenses. If this figure is not taken into account or is not asked for then an amount could be assumed; if your expenses total less than this amount your earnings will also be less. You should also question what tax code the company is using to calculate your earnings - it should be 522L which is the current most commonly used code. If your tax code is lower than this e.g. 240L or a 'K' code eg. K240, your actual earnings will be lower than those quoted. Conversely if your tax code is higher then your earnings will be higher.
