Hi All

I have recently discovered that my agency have been lying to me about the nature of my contract I am currently working out of the Uk on an offshore contract and way back in September 2006 I was told that for my next 6 month renewel I would have to switch to a 22 day monthly contract and change to be paid in dollars. I agreed this although it meant a rate drop for me at the time.

Anyway I have now found out that I am actually still on a daily rate and my agency are still be paid in sterling! So there was atually no forced change from the client!

So it seems they have doubly screwed me over, once on the day to monthly rate caculation and once on the exchange rate because of course they get paid in sterling and then pay me less in dollars!

What can I do here? Do I have any recourse at all? Can I get rid of them but stay on this contract with a new agency? Does that stupid clause

"You can't work for the client through any other agency for 6 months"

actually hold up in anyones law?

Can I sue their asses off for lying to me?

Warm regards Mark..
