I'm with SJD and frankly I don't mind if all the new ltd setups go elsewhere... I'd hate to phone only to get an engaged tone!

    Cheers

    sorry Simon not you,

I can't undertand why anybody would want to use a "company formation" or indeed pay an agency for something which the government make pretty easy to do.

Most of use use on-line services, so why pay over the odds for someone else to do it ?

Go with Darren. He's cheap (ooer) and answers all your (my) idiot questions in minutes and gives good, easy to understand advice such as "Send this amount to the VAT man. Now".

Makes it much easier to devote time to fighting with the permies and chasing home users for unpaid invoices.

I did my own analysis, if I were to pick 1 which one would it be, I came to the conclusion NW and I have recommended 1 person to them who is jumping from brolie to LTD. I was not aware that they would pay me £60 as commision .

It did boil down to the fees and Co formation was free with NW. And this was not base on fees ONLY.

Now SJD is perfectly within his right to charge whatever he thinks is right for him. But his Co formation fees are too expensive. As suggested earlier in the post it only costs £25 to open 1 online, maybe they should outsource opening the Co with them and lower the over all cost.

I am sure all contractors would have weighed the service and the cost before deciding, and on many occasions it might have bolied down to the charges, if services are considered to be similar or same.

If the quality is deemed to be same then next big comparing factor would be quantity (money in this case).
