    Gordo suggested that 250,000 contractors use composite or managed personal service companies, so 25,000 is the tip of the iceberg!!!

    I tried to register one yesterday that was available for 2 years after it had ceased trading but it was in the process of being registered by someone else when I tried to proceed further, so things are hotting up down at CH.

    I just added 'services' to the name and it went through.

    I wonder how much all of this will cost the various government agencies [ CH, HMRC etc ] over the next 5 years, no doubt Gordon can fund the additional expenditure required by persecuting the brollies & their clients.

    Wearing one of my other hats (I do some book-keeping for an agency on an ad-hoc basis) I was told by a memebr of staff at Brooksons that they alone are in the process of registering 17000 companies on behalf of their "members"........

    That's one hell of a lot of IR35 investigations for the taxman to be getting through
