    Confused contractor - who do i work for?

    Right, this is gonna sound like a really stupid question, but I'm a little unsure as to who I actually work for. Obviously I'm a contractor, and I get paid through an Umbrella company.

    When it comes to things like credit card or loan applications, who do I say my employer is? The agency, or the Umbrella company? My pay slips have the Umbrella company's name on them, so first guess is that they are my employer.

    Advice please!
