As many as you can be bothered to open. I have 3 at the moment (Santander for day-to-day transacting, Tide , and RBS for the Freeagent discounting), but I have had more in the past.

How many business accounts can you have

For a single limited company

To protect from banks going bankrupt
To avoid fees

And can I transfer money freely between them all whenever I want?
