    Might be true but even more reason to hedge against it or to ensure your company is multi service.

    Just signed a contract so unless it gets cancelled I'll worry about this in a few months

    Instead of the typical paying to stay in hotels or claiming mileage for spending a quarter of my day commuting, I'm looking at purchasing a flat near the contract, renting it to myself, and renting it out when I move on. Rinse and repeat with an aim of 2 flats a year and hopefully have something to fall back on if contracting dries up.

    Has anyone done this? How does the tax and legal aspect work out? Would it be better inside a separate company as am SPV?
