Guest started a topic Singapore withholding tax

    Singapore withholding tax

I was just about to sign a fixed price job in Singapore and the client have mentioned a 22% 'Withholding tax'. I am doing the job via an agency (on 5%) in order to get paid and because the agent is on their PO system and I am not.

What is this tax, who is liable, what are the implications in UK tax law ??

    TIA:rolleyes
