If you have numpty tenants they sometimes forward it on to you... (Had ths happen recently....)

In shared accomodation perhaps. But if you're a tenant with a proper front door and your own key, how is the landlord going to get the form. It's address to "the occupier" (and will usually be hand delivered).Originally posted by TonicIf you're a tenant, often the landlords will do that for you, or equally often they wont, so it's not always your choice. As far as I'm aware, I've had 3 forms filled in the last 6 years.
(It's also an offense to fill the form in wrongly, what sort of person does this for no benefit to themselves?)

You can have a notice put on your file saying "information in dispute", but only for 28 days.
You can have a "notice of correction", which will remain on your record for as long as you have a record, but only with Equifax

If we are just talking about adding a list of addresses that you have lived at so that you can build a valid picture of your credit background it shouldn't be a problem. Just by filling in a form asking for your cedit record and putting in everywhere you have lived will fix that.Originally posted by Lucifer BoxGetting amendments made can be a nightmare. Financially disassociating yourself from somebody is also relativly simple (I've had to do that a coulpe of times).
The problems come in when some company says you owe them money when you do not and that can take time to fix, the rest should really not be a problem.
Finally not being on the electoral role is your fault tbh, moving around doesn't prevent you from being added to the elctoral role....

You ought to be on the electoral register once a year, every year.
(and that's with the old yearly registration process).

Moving house oftenOriginally posted by SallyAnneIt does Ardesco - I'm in the same boat. I havn't been on the electoral register anywhere for years, which has resulted in me having a crappy credit score.

I would suggest getting your credit files from Equifax, Experian and Callcredit (I think they are the main 3 off the top of my head). You can then get amendments made if the information is incorrect and also fill them in on your residential history so that they can build a full credit background for you and this will fix your credit rating.

Ok, and what about the bad credit? Due to moving so much... I've had a company before, but rarely passed any credit checks elsewhere so didnt want to be turned away from my bank...Originally posted by Nixon WilliamsWhilst I do not know all your details, if you are not caught by IR35 you would get to keep more of your money with your own limited company.

Taxman - income tax
My current contract : I'm in the 40% bracket. What i need is savvy experiance to know how to maximise that, short of doing overtime everyweek?
I also have bad credit as I've move house so many times in order to get experience and work. Can i deal with that too?Last edited by Tonic; 17 November 2006, 13:26.Tags: None
