I succumbed to the jury service. Seems I have almost two weeks between delivery and Jury duty.

Not wanting to fall foul of the law, is it possible to be on Paternity leave, and attend Jury service since? .......since both involves some payment?.

My one and only, I was 41 when she was born. Keeps me young though.

You could have had your kids at 16 or 60 so their ages are meaningless.

Or do you presume everyone has their kids at the same age?

Whereas I just made sure that I only did day-trips in the last month, that is day-trips all across Europe

So you will be on paternity leave.

Hopefully not more than a week. I wont have minded going for the jury service if it was a couple of weeks later

Just opened a letter this morning and its jury service. Though I have IPSE+, I am hoping to be able to get out of it.

Lots of people only end up doing a couple of days as they spend lots of time waiting around.

And you can refuse to do a longer trial of more than 2 weeks.

When you're in court accused of something you didn't do, do you really want your fate to rest with a jury that are only there because they were too stupid to get themselves out of it?

It isn't now, it's people who can't get out of it... Easy enough to salt in someone on the available list for a 'worker' who defers.
