    No the change will be from the date of the share transfer.

    I.e. 6k each if 12k paid now.

    FY for my ltd company finishes end of Jan

    So far there has been 20k dividends declared at 80:20 split
    so
    16k to me
    4k to wife

    Now the shareholding has been changed 50:50
    So, before the company FY ends on Jan 31, can I take 12k more dividends and add to the wife, so that it becomes 16k each?
