    I used to have a similar issue with Lloyds, they wouldn't take a 25k transfer, but would do 2x10k and 1x5k.

    They seem to have changed this now.

    I tried without success to close a santander account, they lost the documents first time, second time I went in to branch and faxed directly from there and got proof the documentation had been sent to the correct dept. Still no go. I've subsequently removed all but 1 penny and switched to monthly paper statements to cost them as much as possible.

    I wanted to keep the old citibank account open as they are so difficult to open.

    They have decide to boot me out.

    I had £50 in there. So I transfered £49.99 out. Let me chase me with what to do with the 1p.

    So, last night I try to transfer 8k from my business current a/c to my business reward saver a/c. Uh uh, computer says no - failed Santander's fraud checks.

    Hmm, ok, let's try 4k... success.

    Surely the system isn't this stupid - let's try another 4k... success.
