Rules have been tightened up very recently.Originally posted by ANZUK View PostHi I am a senior IT project management consultant from New Zealand. Currently in the UK for approx. 15 months working under Tier 2 general visa. I have been recently offered contract work by another company who doesn't have certificate of sponsorship. I was wondering if any of you out there may know of a company that can provide sponsorship so I can take on this opportunity?
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks!
An applicant must not be:
1. An agency worker, hired to a third party to fill a position with
them, whether temporary or permanent, regardless of any contract
between the sponsor and any employment agency or employment business.
2. Contracted to undertake an ongoing routine role or to provide an
ongoing routine service for the third party, regardless of the length
of any contract between the sponsor and another party

This may help explain Tier 2 Sponsorship and Umbrella Companies - All Umbrella Companies Are Equal

If you look on the immigration jobs boards, people there will tell you about umbrella companies who can sponsor the Tier 2, for a substantial chunk of money.

I believe that only the company that you are providing the work for can sponsor a visa for you
