I've got a contract in the Netherlands, I was using a Payroll company here, but they've decided they no longer want to deal with with small-fry such as myself, so I need to find a new one by the end of the month.

I've been approached by the usual sharks, but wondered if anyone has a recommendation?

Looking at a solution for an short-term contract of 6-months duration max. I already have everything necessary to work in the Netherlands (BSN, 30% ruling, etc.), just need a recommendation of a company that will do the paperwork, pay within a reasonable timeframe and not tulip things up too much.

As I'm working in a Dutch tax compliant configuration, I'm looking for a retention rate of about 70%, which was what my previous payroll company was able to supplier after tax deduction for travel costs and jiggery-pokery with Social Security payments et al.

Those flogging EBT's, share-splitting and other nonsense need not apply.

    KoLF
70% retention seems high. The best I could get was circa 63% on the 30% ruling. That is of course not a true retention because you actually have to deduct your actual expenses from that. I carried out financial and solvency checks on two in the UK that I was happy to go with. One however couldn't give me a satisfactory answer to their NI calculations based on having an A1. I haven't however tested out either because the gig fell through. PM me if you want their names.
