Early Day Motion 2389
FUTURE OF THE RURAL POST OFFICE NETWORK 19.06.2006
Weir, Mike
That this House notes with grave concern recent remarks by Adam Crozier, Chief Executive of Royal Mail, of the `imperative' need for a `radical transformation' of the Post Office network; further notes that the previous transformations carried out were to transform open post offices to closed ones; believes that post offices provide an essential social function in many communities; and urges the Government to give a firm assurance that support for the rural post office network will continue in place after 2008.Drivelling in TPD is not a mental health issue. We're just community blogging, that's all.
