    Thank you !

I am looking forward to it. Contracting in Central London now in Mayfair and haven't worked at Canary Wharf before.

Just went there for the interview and it was very much a land of sharp suits.

Bank is like a maze, but once you get used to the layout (after a few wrong turns), it's not too bad. Here's the layout - you can see just how far the DLR platforms are away from the ticket hall.

It might be quicker to catch a Southbound northern line train from Moorgate - as transiting from Northern Line platforms to DLR at Bank is easy. No idea to the frequency, or how crushed those trains are leaving Moorgate though.

Looks like the walk to Bank station including getting on a train would be at least 10 minutes.

Think I will use the motorcycle and see how that goes . Google maps says 55 minutes and historically that means 45-50 minutes on a fast bike.

Also doesn't look like there is too much traffic on the M11 going into London... nothing compared to the A1M for instance in the morning.

Hertford East via Tottenham Hale to Stratford, or Liverpool Street.

Jubilee from Stratford to the Wharf

          or

135 bus from Liverpool Street to the Wharf.

Over the last 7 years I have spent months on that bus, its a bit of a soul destroyer, then I started cycling about, halves the time.

i did a few practice runs over the weekend, bingo, never looked back. From 40+ mins on the 135 in rush hour to under 19 mins, depending on red lights (which I stop at )

The mental flexibility of being able to zoom away from the office whenever you like is great!

And get some heated grips for the winter. Public transport is for permies.

I've been a visitor to the ContractorUK forum for a while and thought of asking a commuting question if that's ok.

                <blah blah blah>
And I was expecting something on albelian group theory. I am quite disappointed.

Lol... indeed it is. Back in 2012 I was contracting for a company in Surrey and did commute on the bike through the winter.

Agree 100% that heated grips are very useful. What I thought made heated grips even more effective was hand guards... like this one My 1250 Bandit: V Strom Hand Guards

I am there at 7a.m. and 135 is only about 20-25 mins. Fine by me, happy to chill, read, listen, watch.
