1) How can he properly analyse anything without knowing the details such as salary I pay, share setup, where I intend to stay etc?

He is actually trying his best to get you to take the role at a low rate by trying to 'sell you the benefits' of it.

Most people are pretty savvy and know what they need to earn and what the minimum is that they can take.

It's like a used car salesman - hmmm take out our long term low interest loan and pay off you 3 year old Ford Fiesta in 10 years at a cost of $15k....
