ClientB (who are far from thick, but seem to have the odd 'block') keep wanting to store which database the app should connect to first in the database... -
The purpose of the internet.
1) Porn.
2) Cats.
3) Argue with strangers.
No cats in this thread.
Can we switch to porn, please?

i got this as well.
my solution was to incorporate a local connections table. I was overruled by the infrastructure bozo who thinks it is illegal to have one clients connection string in another clients db(\__/)

I called you up on this one and you called me a berk and told me to squint.Originally posted by suityou01 View PostOK. Thank you. Again this is where to me it seems obvious. Not being a tit, just saying. If the paper is scanned, and automarked, and the marks loaded into the database against the candidate record, then to me it's obvious the form is marked in such a way that the computer can recognise and hence update the appropriate record.
As for won't vs don't, seems a tad picky. You are right of course in the letter of the law, but you are the first person to mention this several hours after the "answer" was delivered so if it was that big a deal I would have expected it to come out sooner.
