Got bored with looking after the properties - it can be quite a hassle. Plus I fancy a mortgage-free life so I'm selling the 2 BTLs and the one I'm living in now - will be enough to buy a decent house for cash. It's kind of semi-freedom from the rat race.Hard Brexit now!

You'd think that 7 bedrooms, stables, four double garage blocks, and 12 acres of gardens was enough wouldn't you?

Ah yes, that's the other feature of do-it-yourself property investment. You really do have to LIKE property to do well.
I love property renovation and the like, but my friend with the rented out flat absolutely hates anything to do with DIY and resents spending extra money on his property. This means every time some property issue comes up (broken window, water leak into flat below, disgruntled tenant etc) it brings him a whole load of stress even though he works through an agent. It's my opinion and I'm entitled to it. www.areyoupopular.mobiComment

He he. You obviously don't live in London. For that sort of money I'd get a nice 2-bed flat in Chelsea.Originally posted by DimPrawnYou'd think that 7 bedrooms, stables, four double garage blocks, and 12 acres of gardens was enough wouldn't you?
