Had my doubt about TATA initially but they have done a remarkably good job.

Jaguar was a complete mess in the 80's, producing what should have been the finest car in the world (XJ series 3) in the worst factory in the world (hence the lack of reliability), and to be fair, Ford sorted Jaguar out with massive investments and quality improvements, but then they sold them to Mr Tata who must think he's got a bargain.

I agree on Fiat/Chrysler; I just can't see what Fiat gain from that, except maybe some factories in the US.

Whilst you're venting your spleen, as if "india" is responsible for "taking" jobs, you might want to consider that the decision was made by the board of Jaguar.

It's so easy to blame those jonny foreigners with funny accents, but the actual decision was made by those with impeccable english accents, british-educated, "white", and made for the benefit of shareholders.

Intellectually weak post, and mostly Daily Fail standard of thinking, if that isn't a contradiction.

I was at Ford when they bought Jaguar. They pushed enormous amounts of effort into sorting out their production line quality issues and quality management in general. I hope Tata kept up the good work. . .

Yes, push it so far that Jaguar was using plenty of Ford Focus parts to be considered one
