      Market's recovering here quite well now. For some skills it's not been all that bad, except a short period in 2011/2012. The rest of the economy's poo but there are signs of improvement.

        I moved country over 2 years ago, and although I could quite easily tap my network for gigs in the smoke, I am not doing the weekly commute again, it was bad enough last year.

          In my area of SQL/BI it really does seem to be booming. Worst case scenario at the moment seems a drop in rates to stay close to home.
