Some of the 80/90 year olds I know are very happy. some aren't.
Fck that, I've got 10-15 left and living exactly how I want so I'll drink, smoke and shag myself to death. Cos I can afford it and it's fun. Hit 90 and just dream about those things sitting in a chair smelling of piss? No thanks.

And besides I'm going blind so I'm cramming in as much hedonism as I can while I can still work. I've had the best life so far, achieved ambitions many don't even dare to dream about. When I go I won't go disappointed and that's precious.

It depends on what your quality of life is like.

As long as you have your health, your marbles and a loving family around you does it matter how old you get?
...my quagmire of greed....my cesspit of laziness and unfairness....all I am doing is sticking two fingers up at nurses, doctors and other hard working employed professionals...

Just make sure you get on with enough random younger members of your family.

I've met a few old people by volunteering who are "looked in" at my grandchildren, nieces, nephews etc. There own children are too old and unwell, claim they don't have the time or live to far away to help them.
