Yep, my Zen is truly unlimited in terms of amount of data, also no bandwidth throttling at peak times or based on packet types, etc.
I'm put off BT by the fact that they have a long reputation for throttling and profiling, I frankly don't trust them with my data, and they're always the first target when someone wants to go after internet users (either to block sites, request user details, etc).

I've gone from 3 to 40 Mbps, download/upload is way quicker but general browsing doesn't seem to be that much faster.

        Is that the norm?
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

General web page browsing may not be. Unless you're browsing pages containing a tulip-load of data then your connection to the internet wouldn't have been retarding the page loads. It would more likely be the servers / connection at their end.

Really, where you'll see the benefits is in downloading files / videos, etc, or when streaming video. Netflix HD wants about 4Mbps minimum for a stable stream I think.
And if multiple people are trying to eat data at the same time, then of course you're sharing whatever bandwidth is available.

If website is slow to generate data then even if data was teleported to you with the speed of light it will still feel slow...

I have never seen it throttled or profiled. I can download files using utorrent no problem.

Data's always sent at the speed of light. Even if you're still using a 9,600 modem.

I've been umming and ahhhing about this for a couple of years, mainly because I'm a tenant and work uncertainty meant I didn't want to commit to an 18 month contract. I already get 16Mb anyway, but the main benefit would be for upload as I struggle with a measly 512K.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.
