While that might be true in some cases, my fear is that in general juries tend to believe and are directed to believe police evidence, which means that the innocent (or only slightly guilty) get stitched up by police lies.

EDIT: BTW, how do juries distrusting police evidence lead to the innocent being locked up, as you assert?

I think he covered this with the counter-case:

"The police have an algortihm of fishing for a few facts, deciding "the truth" and then proving by whatever means necessary."

Not all concocted police 'evidence' can be disproved in court.
