They announced this morning that the baby will become the Prince of Cambridge.

I thought that to be a prince of somewhere, that place has to be a principality or a country???

I vote Severus, since the baby will be a half blood prince.

Plus his father is only Duke of Cambridge. Surely that means the baby has a higher ranked title than his father?

It's almost as if they're making it up as they go along.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

If they have multiple titles, then I guess they can choose which title they want to be known as - Camilla is always referred to as the Duchess of Cornwall, which is the lesser of her titles. Whether she (or the press) like it or not, she remains the Princess of Wales until Charles succeeds to the throne. At which point she will become Queen Camilla, whether she wants to be called Queen or not.

Royals don't have a surname, so they take their fathers title as one (So William Wales, Henry Wales). William is still Prince William, Duke of Chambridge as well as a few other titles, the next highest being the Earl of Strathearn which the baby will take until he inherits the Dukedom

Yep, any of those are better than Leopold.
