But that's where quick thinking comes in - I just connected to the DR site and did a select * to grab of copy of the table's contents; replication was so slow that the delete command had not replicated through yetComment

You are doing fine unless you just let some dumb ****er test the fire alarm system in your main computer room without setting the fire suppression systems to test first....
(true story!) 1500 users wiped out for the day while all the Unix Servers were FSCk'd could have killed 20 sysadmins had the Halon gas been operational
Thankfully not my fingers on the test switch but I never saw the FM prat that insisted on doing the test again...Comment
