    Well to be fair the bloke who chastised me did later on say I could carry on using the loo, because I spent a bit of time talking about my boat, the risks I was taking by not having an engine cut-out string, trim, and rules of the river.

    I went past Putney on Tuesday as well - so this week I've completed Woolwich to Teddington lock - the tidal thames upstream from Woolwich. Most pleasant and incident-free..
