Look but don't share them. They say it's unhealthy"A people that elect corrupt politicians, imposters, thieves and traitors are not victims, but accomplices," George Orwell -
Hayling Island? OK so it's the other direction but pretty much on pompey. You get small bits of 'quick sand' on the sandbanks\breaks at low tide which are good fun to play in.Comment

It's OK, but you can be stuck in traffic jams for ages getting through that causeway onto the islandOriginally posted by IRMe View PostHayling Island? Too late for MF's post but if you are close enough for that then try Mudeford Quay for crabbing, down there last year the whole of the quay was lined with people dropping little muslin bags of bacon into the water and pulling up crabs. When you have had enough of that you can walk down the path to Avon Beach. Good beach with toilets and shops there with deck chair hire etc. Not the best beach as quite pebbly but they nearly all are around that neck of the woods from what I have seen... Was really nice and will prob go back again this year.Originally posted by RSoles View PostAh, Frensham ponds, Carry On Jack and Carry On Columbus.
Naah, I'd rather go a bit further west to Lymington, New Milton, Barton on sea; though they're bucket & spade, but not really crabbing territory. More sandy beaches without enough rocks for rockpools.Comment

Why not head to the Isle of Wight, it's close and the weathers usually better there. No shortage of beaches eitherDoing the needful since 1827Comment
