You are a Troll arent you? Nobody could be so mind numbingly dumb!

The clue is in the title extradition of terrorists. Just what terrorism offences have been commited here?

Mailman, you fecking wombat, what offences have been committed against or in the US to warrant extradition of any sorts? Three UK citizens are alleged to have committed a fraud against a UK company whilst living in the UK.

The fact that the shares sold and bought are loosely related through a lengthy to chain to Enron is neither here not there.

Mate, they travelled to Houston (which is in America) with the intention of defrauding Enron (with the help of Enrons CFO), Natwest AND American Shareholders...or did you miss this little bit of information Nancy?

So much for this being a victimless crime!

They defrauded Natwest by advising the sale of a Natwest asset for less than it was worth, the Enron guys defrauded Enron by buying the asset for an inflated price.

We can keep going round this who did what and where for ever, the point is that we're signed up for a one sided treaty that let's the US government extradite our citizens without having to show proof and we can't and are never likely to do the same back. A treaty that was meant to help fight terror is instead being used to target UK businessmen accused of breaching US regulations.

That should worry you because they are accused of wire fraud, which means anyone sending an email who transgresses US law, but doesn't UK law is liable to be extradited - why you might ask, well cause most emails flying round the world pass via the US and hence fall within this catagory. FUBAR.

Hurrah! We are getting there! The important part is that part of this crime was carried out in AMERICA! The Natwest guys played a part in getting the Enron CFO to defraud Enron...THEY HAD A DIRECT PART IN THAT ACTION!

We can keep going round this who did what and where for ever, the point is that we're signed up for a one sided treaty
Yeah, so one sided it took nearly 4 years to get the feckers out of the country!

that let's the US government extradite our citizens without having to show proof
Solly Nancy but you are incorrect. The evil americans STILL HAD to show they had a case against these three guys. They had to PRESENT evidence of their wrong doing.

They DID NOT just rock up to Bow County Magistrates last Wednesday and ask for these guys to be deported on Thursday.

A treaty that was meant to help fight terror is instead being used to target UK businessmen accused of breaching US regulations.
Again, another misunderstanding by yourself. The deportation laws these guys were deported under replaced the older treaty.

That should worry you because they are accused of wire fraud, which means anyone sending an email who transgresses US law, but doesn't UK law is liable to be extradited .
Stop being a fecken drama queen for fecks sake. These guys fecked up by trying to defraud an American company (and American shareholders) out of a large sum of money. The fact they havent been prosecuted in England should send more alarm bells ringing in that empty head of yours simply because its so EASY to get away with white collar crime in this country!

In fact, the SFO didnt bring prosecutions against these guys NOT because English laws werent broken BUT because English laws are so sh1t you could drive a bomb laden truck through the loop holes that allows people to carry out white collar crime without fear of arrest.

              Again Mailman.

Why is the anti-terrorism legislation being used to extradite them ? If it's quicker & more efficient, better than previous existing extradition treaty, how is it quicker, more efficient or better ?

If you don't know just say so.

I read the interesting bit of the paper, particularly about wire fraud:

                  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wire_fraud

It has been extended to include email routed through a US based server which means you have then commited an offence in the US...

                  ...scary...

                  Older and ...well, just older!!

Perhaps we should all just turn ourselves over to the US powers and save them the time and the costs involved.

Given that the the UK cannot launch a nuclear weapon without the consent of the US millitary courtesy the dual key system, its not surprising that they extradite citizens from Airstrip One as they please.

Alarmingly one notes no such restrictions are in place for the Finnish Nukes.

If youve done nothing wrong then youre in serious trouble.

Only if you break the law or tried to defraud Enron and shareholders of millions of dollars
