For me it's as good as it's been since before the financial crisis at the moment. Plenty of work if you're willing to travel and rates are unchanged.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

      You've never been top boy.

      I can tell that by:

Your inability to form a conclusion.

The way you make a mountain out of a molehill.

Your apparent lack of contacts - why are you hitting jobserve at your age?

Gotta say it's been the same for me, since 2002 apart from the odd two or three weeks resting.

But, as you say, I'm willing to travel and work away during the week and that can make all the difference.

          Interesting .... apart from:

Just what's driving all this demand is a bit murky
AFAICT everyone in FSS is trying to get off Solaris and get on to Lintel as quickly as possible. That's quite a big driver I would have thought!

Aye, the only time I use jobserve is to cross reference roles that I have been contacted about.

Judging by the number of email newsletters I've been getting telling me how brilliant the contract market is, I'd say pretty terrible. The more they have to tell you it's good news, the worse it is.

I get begging emails from agents every day. Quite a few speculative mails via Linkedin from the more resourceful HR (see what I did there) depts. in blue-chips.
                  No I'm not joking.
                  Serious shortage in my field.
                  Hard Brexit now!

                    Whey hey!

Agent just speculatively called my desk phone.

An agent from some other contractors' agency was trying to stalk me outside while I was on a fag break.

Think I threw him off the scent though, by walking round the building and through some bushes.
