Prefer to use a drum machine to a live drummer.

You only need to punch the information into a drum machine once......

Good that. I bought a guitar about 13 years back and had a couple of lessons from a customer services guy(who was in a band) who sent an email out offering lessons. I took a free lesson, having never played before, started to get the hang of it, then headed off with him and bought an electric guitar. I had two more lessons before the contract finished, I met the missus and I moved on. Never played it again. It's in the roof now, bagged and in mint condition.

I reckon most muso's only play so they can get laid.

There is passage in that Sting song, 3:20 in on the video that is drumming perfection. Sublime.

Sting always had the best drummers, Manu Katche, Stewart Copeland, Vinnie Colaiuta.

Manu Katche did Dire Straits 'Money for Nothing', gated reverb heaven.
