I had to google to understand who Joey Deacon was. I am amazed anyone remembers him - its a long while ago.

Who could forget? Jo-eeeey was the standard playground insult, along with the accompanying arm/hand gestures.

There was a conspiracy theory that he was in fact not disabled, and put on the act to get a free house.

It's possible. Some people have cause. I believe Joey beat you at Chess and used to bully you at Secondary school, but you can look back on that and smile now. Can't you?
