Xen - are you getting confused with the Hari Krishnas again?

I know. The cheery cries of 'caaaaaant' and 'fffarrrrrrrkk' echo across the narrow confines of the avenues and alleyways of Dickens's city

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.

“Xenophon: A very intimate acquaintance of Madame Palm and her five lovely daughters.”

I thought I was very worldly until I did a look up on this phase

That reminds me of my first trip to London from Hamilton at the age of 18 , or was it 19?

Anyway hitched a life down to North London then got the tube to Victoria, as I emerged from the Victoria Tube station my first impression of proper London was some poor chap screaming at the top of his voice Everybody ...Get out of London ...its full of Rats.

Perhaps he was sponsored by the London Tourist Board but I never forgot his lament that sunny afternoon.

As soon as I departed my Stagecoach, a person offered their assistance , infact he was most universal in his pleasantude

"What's yor problem mate?" said the kindly young sir.

Instantly I knew I had arrived in England's capital
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

That was sasguru in 'biting wit' mode. I liked it and I would be lying if I said that I didn't have at least a reasonable acquaintance as described...
